Whether you are looking for a natural nail overlay or enhancements to extend your natural nails, there are many different options available when booking which can be overwhelming if you don't know what you need. To help, I have put together a brief overview of what each service treatment offers below.

Classic Gel Manicure
Using the best UV Gel Polish system from INK London, a base coat, 2-3 colour coats & top coat will be applied. Typically you should get 2-3 weeks wear out of your gel manicure from The Mulberry Nail Co and aftercare guidelines will be given to you to help you achieve the most longevity from your manicure.
All UV Gel Polishes should be professionally removed to avoid damaging your natural nails, for our UV Gels this is achieved by soaking off your UV gel.
Builder In A Bottle (BIAB)
To add more strength whilst retaining the ability to remove by soaking off, 2-3 coats of BIAB can be added. Perfect for levelling ridged nails before adding your colour coats, adding minimal length to bring nails to the same length & shape, BIAB comes in a variety of natural semi opaque shades that can look natural when this is the desired finish. BIAB has a typical 2-3 week wear before your nails will need either removal and reapply or infilling. All UV Gel Polishes should be professionally removed to avoid damaging your natural nails.

Hard Gel
This solution is perfect for those looking for extensions or an overlay to their natural nails but who have hands that are active, regularly in and out of liquids & exposed to chemicals (i.e. cleaners, hairdressers, catering, swimmers). Hard gel isn't porous therefore it doesn't breakdown under repeated exposure to liquids and chemicals. Another benefit of hard gel is its flexibility when compared to traditional acrylic extensions/overlays. Due to not being a porous product, hard gel can only be removed professionally by filing and should be infilled every 2-3 weeks to maintain the integrity & structure of your enhancements.

Acrylic
The traditional liquid & powder system, sometimes receiving a misplaced bad press, Acrylic has been about in the Nail Industry for a LONG time! Why? Because when applied correctly to professionally prepared nailbeds it provides a strong and robust enhancement to your natural nails. Acrylic nails need to be cared for at home by following our Aftercare Guidelines that will be provided to you at the end of your appointment. All the Acrylic offered at The Mulberry Nail Co. is HEMA Free, MMA Free (MMA is banned in the UK & Europe for use on nails but unfortunately is still used in non-standard salons found on most high streets) and comes in a wide range of natural tones that can be worn with or without colour to finish. Acrylic nails will need to be infilled every 2 weeks to maintain the integrity & structure of your enhancements. In the same way as UV Gel Polish, BIAB & Hard Gel, your Acrylic enhancements should always be removed professionally to avoid damaging your natural nails.
